Sunday Services

Riviera United Church of Christ offers a weekly worship experience Sundays at 10:00 a.m.  The regular Sunday service generally includes responses, prayers, a scripture reading, a sermon by our pastor, and music led by the Chancel Choir and the band.  There also is a fun and entertaining children’s message.   The service has a fast-paced and informal, yet uplifting, style.

Communion

Communion is typically celebrated on the first Sunday of the month and is open to all without regard to baptism or belief.  Communion elements include fruit juice (no alcohol) and both bread and a gluten-free alternative.  Everyone remains in their seats during communion, with the elements brought to them by communion servers.  Meditative music, either vocal or instrumental, is played while communion is being served.

Fellowship Time

Immediately following the service, everyone is welcome to stay for a time of fellowship.  Coffee and other light refreshments are served in the Nerthex area at the entrance to the church.
